2005 website rally - your ideal month

Post by Chris Morley »

O.K - please vote for your favourite month (if you have one) and you intend to go. Also, please reply to this thread and let us know if there are dates you can't make due to a holiday etc, and/or you have a strong preference for either a Saturday or a Sunday.

I won't click a button, 'cos there isn't one 'marked 'any of the above'. If there was, I'd press it.

OK, I've amended the wording to account for those who don't have a favourite month.....

If it's far away, then I'd prefer a Saturday, but not essential

Jan 06: The Minor SII Africa adventure: http://www.minor-detour.com
Oct 06: back from Dresden with my Trabant 601 Kombi
Jan 07: back from a month thru North Africa (via Timbuktu) in a S3 Landy
June 07 - back from Zwickau Trabi Treffen
Aug 07 & Aug 08 - back from the Lands End to Orkney in 71 pickup
Sept 2010 - finally gave up breaking down in a SII Landy...
where to break down next?
2013... managed to seize my 1275 just by driving it round the block :(

I'd prefer after June, as I finish exams, I fully intend to go and Sundays would be better unless it's in the last week of July/all of August, in which case, any time is fine for me.

July or August would be better for me (less rallies to clash with then - I think), but any month really. Also Sat or Sun is fine.

How was the wording amended? I still see the same thing, despite emptying caches etc. It's probably just my haunted 'puter again...

I make that 6 replies to date - anyone else want to register an interest? There were 10 cars last year and it would be nice to get more to come this year.

The wording I added was "(if you have one)" . Unfortunately it seems that you can't add options once the poll has been uploaded. However someone who has no favourite month doesn't need to vote, I wanted to see if anyone had strong preferences.

Just so long as my interest is registered.

August sounds okay to me - again with Ray on this one: If it's far away then I'd prefer a saturday... but Sundays are better normally :)

Can we try and avoid the august bank holiday weekend? I'll most likely be in a muddy field in Reading.
