Stiffy fixed!

Hi all,
After adjusting the driver's side window frame to sit snugly against the door seal I repeated the process with the passenger side and found to my horror that the window glass lifting arm was twisted beyond belief!
The passenger window has always been difficult to raise and lower and because of the damage the arm was raising the glass at an odd angle so that it started to bind on the frame channels.
Tried straightening it but eventually changed it for a spare one from the scrapyard.
Both windows working fine - just got to get the doors to slam shut properly - suspect striker plates, awaiting supply of new 2BA screws.

Replaced all the 2BA screws on Jethro's door striker plates but despite several adjustments in different directions the doors would only slam shut with the plates set forward so that when closed the doors stood proud of the body and not tight against the rubber seals.
Finally set the plates back to allow the doors to fit tightly but you do have to push the door tightly closed and then lift the door handle slightly which allows the latch in the striker plate to pop up and locate behind the plunger.
A compromise but at least the doors and window frames now lie flush and tight against the seals.
Also fitted a period rear ashtray (more tat!)....looks nice!
