I have discovered cracks in the chassis around the eyebolt. On close inspection, it turns out that the crush tube has broken loose from the internal mounts.
So... it looks like I am replacing the front leg section.

ESM lists two alternatives for this replacement part. One seems to be Hadrian-made and the other made from Hadrian tooling with quality steel of the correct thickness.
One is 6" longer than the other (I don't need the extra length).
By taking turns at putting them in my shopping cart, it looks like the shorter one is heavier.
One costs a whopping 30 pounds more than the other

Has anyone had experience with either of these alternatives?
If yes, I would be grateful if you would report on your experience.
Cheers
