neiman 66 steering lock and ignition

Post by tommy-rocker »

Hope someone has knowledge of this and can assist with wiring it up. I have been rebuilding my 1972 k plate van and lost the wiring details when refitting. I will be letting you all see my progress photos at a later date on a new website.

Welcome to the forum! As long as you have the original wiring looms - you just join same colour wires together.... Wires NEVER change colour at a connection - only at an 'event' ie switch/fuse/motor etc... Is there a specific problem with the steering lock?

Have a look at the top of the electrical section here - the basic wiring diagram is there - and the alternator diagram too. Print them both off! They don't include the column lock - but the cable colours remain the same. Do you have a loom - or are you making one from scratch? The engine makes no odds - and alternator is shown

These were the connectors as marked on the back of my neiman switch along with the cables that were attached. Also from a 72 reg van. Hope they make sense.
