Engine tie bar - proper location & fixing

Post by capnblack »

Can someone please post a picture showing how where the engine tie bar should be fixed to the top of the bulkhead crossmember. I have seen various methods of attaching the end to the crossmember but would much prefer to do it as originally intended with my Postal Engineering van (1971) rebuild. Cheers in advance.

Nice picture - still can see if the end is welded or bolted to the bulkhead cross member though?
Thanks so far

The section is bolted through the inside of the section running under the battery tray, then a rienforcing plate added to the outside followed by the nuts. They were never welded on as standard, though they fracture very often (4 of the 5 Minor's I've owned were fractured) and are often welded back on.
