Accelerator spring return

Hi

I know others have posted before about this but I cannot see where to attach my spring return for the accelerator. I have attached it the exhaust manifold collar but it doesn't work and probably not a good idea. My car is a '67 saloon and doesn't seem to have a bracket to attach it to.

Any ideas?

Or where can you get hold of a bracket thingy to attach it to.

It goes on to the front bolt off the exhaust clamp before the nut.

For what it is and what it will cost I would make one yourself. It's only a bit of 1mm sheet steel.
