MM headlights
are these MM headlamps? I never saw a pair, these came with the car I recently bought, but they're sealed beam and have lucas written like the later 7 inch type[frame]

The lowlight headlights originally had the "cats eye" lens and separate bulbs, they also had the mounting for the side light. Sealed beam headlights were not available until much later.

They are mm headlight rims fitted with later sealed beam units. You can fit any 5 3/4 inch headlight unit with or without sidelight (including halogen) into these rims using w clips (same as old motorbikes use).
The use of modern units greatly enhances the use of the car at night - originals were like candles.
I must confess to having thrown out several original catseyes units over the years
