Heater core

Post by philipandrewdavid »

Hi all, i bought this core on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... TQ:GB:1123

I cant get it to fit my unit. Ive been repeatedly told its the right one but in the manual the pipes are top left and bottom right, this is opposite, has anyone else bought this. Apparently no one else has had any problems. Is it me! cheers, Phil.

It's obviously for a later Mini heater - and was just guessing when he sold you it for a Minor.... If the actual rad fits in the casing ok - just make new holes for the pipes !

Suggest that you contact the supplier and see if it can be exchanged for the correct one.

thanks for all the replies. They are reluctant to supply a replacement saying its correct. BMC it wont fit in the casing, its only a few mm out but this interfears with the 2 side panels fitting so new holes are not an option. Thanks again Phil.

I sent both back to them and they say mine is from an early car. Mine is a 1968 Traveler, standard. This has been going on an awfully long time and i am not impressed with the service...

Did you get any firm answer? I was going to buy one of these for my '65 saloon
