you are not nice people and have double standards
LittlePiggy - by reporting the sale of V5s / vehicle ID to ebay we are protecting ourselves and other minor owners. Minors go missing with monotinous regularity and with the items you were selling on ebay its a 10 minute job to give a stolen car a "legitimate" ID to sell it on. I cannot see how we are stabbing each other in the back?
I haven't got a V5C available to me at this moment, but I am sure there is text clearly visible on it stating that it is an official document and must not be sold/tampered with etc. So, in my opinion, it is a fair assumption to assume someone selling such a document (especially with the chassis plates etc.) would know its illegal and could be used for ringing a vehicle (especially if ebay cancelled the sale and it was relisted!).
I have had an ebay listing cancelled before (because I was selling a NOS ford part, in its ford box, and used the word genuine in the listing

) and I appreciate the reasons for listing cancellations are not always made clear.
I can't see any double standards?? We regularly get posts pointing out the ID of minors on this forum, and there are always people who report it to ebay. I report any V5 etc. I see. I have tried messaging people selling IDs on ebay in the past and I have always been ignored or had abuse back - so now I don't bother and just report the item.
I am keeping an eye on this thread - so please be careful to abide by the T&Cs of the board
