Well it was a V5C, a chassis plate and a collection of tax discs for sale for £100, with a note roughly saying 'buy quickly being as ebay for some reason seems to remove these items'

I just cannot believe some people, they seem to be trying to get away with it by listing it in a way that will comply with ebay rules. Yet still acknowledging it is not a done thing as they will remove it after the first bid! Though I have also reported it so hopefully something will be done.

As the id was for sale - indicating the vehicle as scrapped - there was little
point in messaging the seller if he was unable to understand a V5C!

Bit like a monkey placing a Stephen King book on eBay!!

Maybe because we thought that the seller would know about:

DVLA legislation stating it as illegal?

and then following its removal from ebay there surely must have been an explanation stating why it was removed and so if the seller was not aware of the matter this should have cleared it up. So by relisting it again it seems to make it look as if the seller is prepared to flout the law and so no matter how many people contact them about the issue no change will be brought about and anyway in order not cause an argument over the situation the best way to deal with a problem with an item on ebay is to report it which was done:

So I would like to know how anyone can claim no one did anything but complain, it is just it was done in a manner that follows the EBAY procedure in order to police such items being sold as well as those selling them in order to stop it happening again where as if an individual had contacted the seller there is a good chance that they will recieve abuse from the seller and the item more than likely will remain for sale. So I am afraid to say that I can not see the validity in your argument, or is that just me being too presumptious?

Who am I to know what you will or will not do! I only assess the situation that I see before me and react to it how I see best fits the situation and I do believe it is better to rational when dealing with any situation and so go through the appropriate authority rather than take a chance and end up recieving abuse for it.
