chrome seal

Post by steve c »

hi, ive just refitted the front screen after a respray, the screen went in with a new seal straight away, ( one very small split on iner lip, but hardly noticeable) ive now spent nearly all afternoon trying to fit the chrome looking plastic seal, ive got a tool which fits the grove and slids along easily, but will not move when you put the seal through the tool, i have now thrown all my toys out of the pram in frustration, any advice on the subject would be great. many thanks steve

Are you pushing or pulling and have you used some form of lubrication?

Washing-up liquid, aren't you 'sposed to warm the trim up first?

Think this is what I did.
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!
