Dumb waiter ???

Post by AnimalJack »

Hi , this has nothing to do with Moggies.....
.....but I was hoping there may be someone who may know how to build a simple Dumb waiter-
as Ive been asked to make one by my daughter to go in her Victorian terrace (travelling one floor-just to the room above. ). We have seen some odd ones on youtube , but she just wants a more original - hand operated type......has anyone got one - or made one -who could give us a few guide lines please.[frame]Image[/frame]

The electrics look a bit complex on that video, as you are thinking of a hand operated type some kind of latching mechanism would seem like a good idea.
Hard to see the benefit of those angled bearings, a slot and the side of some angle iron would be as effective.
