Re: front end on van
What problems are you having?
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!
Re: front end on van
Are these new parts you have fitted (and if so - what other parts have been fitted...) - or are you just trying to realign what's already on the vehicle?
Re: front end on van
main problem is gaps between bonnet and wings also holes not meeting cowl and wingsPOMMReg wrote:What problems are you having?

not all new parts new inner wings full flitch panels . same wings and bonnet and cowl think problem may be cowl panel was just using it to get me going what do u think cheersbmcecosse wrote:Are these new parts you have fitted (and if so - what other parts have been fitted...) - or are you just trying to realign what's already on the vehicle?

ok thanks for getting back to me will need to get some photos done to show you think got ma work cut out on this onebmcecosse wrote:If it's new panels - they always need 'adjustment'...
Re: front end on van
Is it possible that the inner wings are at fault? A lot of alignment depends on them being right, as the wings hang on them. They can also determine the bonnet gaps.

For adjustment read brute force! Judiciously applied of courseIf it's new panels - they always need 'adjustment'...

Re: front end on van
Hahaha - what about trying the wings on without the front panel initially - to see if the bonnet will fit down on them?

Compare it with a Minor with original inner wings. Need to establish where the fault lies prior todudeman wrote:can any one give me some tips with front wings radiator cowl and bonnet to line up been at it for days with no joy thanks

Re: front end on van
I had a issue with new front wings lining up as well. The gap between the wing and edge of the bonnet was too tight because the edge were the wings bolts to the top of the flitch was sitting at a raked in angle. Some careful bending and tapping with a hammer and dolly straightened this up and left enough space for the bonnet.
Too many Minors so little time.....
