Thanks, Max

Measure from the ground (earth..) to the front wing openings at their highest point - should be 13 to 13 1/2 inches..... (330 to 345 mm) .

Start by checking that the centre of the torsion bar (measure from the end of the spigot that goes through the eye bolt) to the ground is 10 and 11/16 inches from the ground. This should be the same on both sides of the car. Adjustment of the torsion bar settings may be required. This measurement is more accurate than the bumper which can be affected by bent mountings. A helpful guide is to check that the hole in the centre of the bumper lines up with the hole in the front panel and the crankshaft dog where the starting handle goes.

As a rough guide you should just be able to fit your hand sideways between the top of the front tyre and the top of the wheel arch

Instead of using the various sized hands as described above use the measurements and datum points as set out in Minor Wksp Manual Section K.
The difference in height between the inner and outer suspension pins with a load of three passengers and full equipment is 3/8" or .95cm. With the car unladen the difference is 1 5/8" or 4.1cm. Must be measured on level ground. If the suspension is found to outside these measurements it should be adjusted accordingly.[frame]Image[/frame]

The quick check with a tape to the wing is the easiest by far - no grubbing about underneath.... Sure - if you then decide you need to reset the T bars - then you follow the Manual directions.
