For what its worth, I've successfully used central heating flushing fluids available from B&Q, Wilkies etc for about £9.99 a bottle. Since it has to deal with systems that include cast iron, copper, light alloy, solder, etc among their construction materials I've always assumed its fairly benign. But then I've never seen a system as bunged up as yours! Best of luck, MikeN.

Could well be (the mix of a-freezes..) - or perhaps someone has added an egg to the system - to try to stop a leak.....and now it is scrambled egg...... :lol:
