I`m Michael, from Clacton in Essex. I`ve had a couple of Morris Minor`s in the past - 2dr, 4dr saloons and a Traveller - but had been away from the MM for a while.... well, until today! have just collected a 1955(?) splitscreen saloon (4-door) from a chap called Stuart just outside of Haverhill after seeing it listed on eBay. She`s going to be a long-term project but thankfully is 99% complete - all the panels are there, but whats missing can hopefully be found easily enough. The plan is to get the car up and running and usable again, with a couple of sensible upgrades (am thinking an alternator conversion and maybe disc brakes purely for safety).
and a bit of welding, but I can`t complain really. its fairly solid compared to the Traveller I was offered yesterday, which seemed to have rotted so badly it broke into 3 pieces (the whole car!) just by touching it 
optimistic estimate for completion is about 9 months. Realistically? 2 years
