Hi and a merry christmas to all. Was a gasket or some sort of seal fitted between the cover and floor if so what was it made of, I trust sombody will have an answer, thanking you in anticipation.

Yes a non setting sealant like Dum Dum would have been used to keep the water out, same as is used on the back panels of a traveller.

I have an old roll of 1" wide cork jointing 2mm thick and stick it to the cover, it works ok and keeps the water out. when you remove thr cover the jointing stays stuck to it so its easy to clean or renew. :D :D
