hi bmc and les
You may of touched on the subject in my posts, but its a little over my head

If I got a 12G940 what would I have to tell the cylinder head services that I am going to use, what to do with my head. I Would love to drop my head off with confidence and tell them exactly what I want them to do. I use my car daily and now I am using my jag xj8 which is costing me £100 a week in fuel. Good old mo only uses £40

so really want to get it sorted for next weekend.
I have been asking a lot of questions about too many heads over the past 2 days but I just wanted to find the best, fastest fix. but I am still no closer today, but what I do know is I want a 12G940.
I have been looking at the options today as wanted to get my car on the road asap, so I rang esm as I thought it would be a quicker fix, but he said he knows nothing about them and its listed as a sprite head. but I know for that price £195 plus VAT I can get a much better head.
I would love a 12g940 head and a alloy inlet but don't want to buy one and wreck it before I fit it

If say I know I have to sink valves in 40 thou and use the standard gasket etc, it would be a god send.
there is a good one on ebay, this is the same seller that is selling the 206 head too.

since joining this forum in feb, I have read so much positive info on the 12g940 but also heard reports about needing to do this or that.
I feel checky asking for your knowledge and cant give anything back in return, but if I cant find the info I will have to fit my standard 948 head back on, but as it is off I would like to take advantage of this time.
but what I do know is I want a 12G940. and I need your help to make this possible
