804cc Fuel Pump

Post by GoldenDash »

Hi,

I need to replace the fuel pump on a '54 split screen 804cc.

Just wondered if the fuel pump for the 948cc or 1098cc will fit?

Also if anyone has a spare that will fit I would gladly take it of your hands.

Thanks in advance.

yep a later one will fit ok. you may need the take off for the carb from your old one if youve still got the 90 degree braded type fuel pipe. if that makes sense. :D

Thanks for getting back to me, it's not me who is fitting it but I will def pass on the info.

Appreciated.

Again if anyone has one I could do with one in the next couple of days and am trying to avoid paying £60...

Not sure if we've got any in stock at the moment but the Dorset branch usually has a stock of fully reconditioned pumps on sale. I know you didn't want to pay out £60 but if its fully reconditioned it's worth it for the reliability.
Have a look on www.dorsetmmoc.co.uk for more info.

Is this a mechanical pump mounted on the engine block (normally only on Austins....) - or the electric SU pump??

Thanks to everyone who replied, managed to buy a second hand pump for half of what I had found them for elsewhere.

Thanks again for the great response.
