Heater Unit

Post by coulson1986 »

Hello all,

I noticed that the heater motor is not connected to anything in my 1960 Morris, there is two loose wires with connectors on the end but there doesn't seem to be any other cables to connect them too. Does anybody know where these should or how they should be connected? Its getting very annoying wiping the windscreen while driving!! Please help!

Thanks,
Marc

There should be a black one - connect to earth -anywhere. The other one - connect to power - so any green cable! Via a switch if it doesn't have a switch on the heater itself. Just beware - it may have been disconnected because it's not working - may blow a fuse when connected up!

Thanks for your help I will try this tomorrow. The heater unit does not have a switch so would this mean that it is on all the time the ignition is on?

It will be - if you don't run it through a switch!
