horn assembly

Hi all having just purchased a spoked steering wheel(1963) for my traveller (to replace the plastic one)i find that the horn button in the centre is different ,so i purchased a horn button but that is all i have can anyone tell me what else i need and how it fits to the wheel itself.

Thanks bmc for your reply,looks like lots of the smaller items are not available,anyone out there have any of the horn assy parts available?

Other suppliers may have the parts - MOSS just happens to be one of the best diagrams. Probably best though to just buy a complete column from a breaker.

This is the type of horn button for the three spoked dished wheel, I cant believe the price of it :o It simply screws onto the wheel with the chrome screw visible in the picture, the brass bit is the contact from the wire in the centre of the steering wheel.

Thanks guys the horn assy in the eBay link is exactly what I have but is the spring loaded pin assy from the 2 spoke wheel compatible with the wire 3 spoke item number 121 on moss drawing

The horn push on a 3 spoke wheel is held in by a chrome set screw, the horn push on a 2 spoke wheel is held in by a spring clip. They are not inter changeable

Pretty sure the 'horn push' isn't the problem here.....

Better just refit the two spoke wheel till you gather up all the bits for the three spoke.

Yea maybe, im in no hurry really as i am at the start of a full resoration of my 1970 snowberry traveller Doris.
