Hi , I'm changing my camshaft sprocket and chain to a duplex upgrade . They give you two countersunk Allen screws with the pack , is it only the two 7/16" bolts behind the crank sprocket that are changed ?? Pand if so any tips on how to get in with an electric drill and countersink as they are so close to the front of the crossmember ??

Never done it, but I assume you would undo the front motor mounts, jack up the front of the engine w/a block of wood under the sump. Just have to be careful when jacking up that you don't damage anything, like for instance the heater take off at the back of the cyl head.
Do you have the radiator off?
Someone else that's already done it will likely be along w/details and/or corrections.

It is only these two. If you haven't got a short drill/drill bit (or try a Dremel) then at worst you can take the front plate off and do it off the engine..... Make sure the heads of the screws (use Loctite on them) end up completely flush with the plate - or they can catch on the joining link of some chains. Best to put the chain on with the link away from the plate. FYI -the Mini version using the single chain and tensioner is a far better bet for quiet running - and no countersinking necessary.

Thanks wish I had asked first before I bought the kit . Sounds like it's off with the front plate , is it pretty straight forward ??

If your new chain does have a split link make sure that the closed end is in the direction of travel!
Removing the front engine plate is easy you are most of the way there already by doing the timing chain. Only the dynamo/alternator to remove, one engine mounting, both engine mounting rubbers (jack up under the sump with a piece of flat wood between the jack and sump and as Katy says watch out at the rear of the engine/exhaust when lifting clear) and a few extra bolts. Make sure that you have a new gasket (Pt No: 10M150) before you strip. Whilst you have got the front plate off check the condition of the cam thrust bearing (Pt No: 10M575 (2A84)) and replace if necessary. When refitting the timing chain cover use the crank pulley to centralize the timing cover/seal before tightening up the timing cover bolts.
