'Ersatz' now that's a phrase I haven't heard in ages! (Parents used to use it to talk about foodstuffs mainly as no doubt it was a common phrase during the second world war when they were young!)
Um - I agree though the 'Morris' in question does not look quite right! Is that a Renault?

Defiantly not a Minor as the drivers door hangs from the rear!
Thought it may have been a Renault Dauphine but their doors hang from the front.
