Traveller windows

Need to remove the sliding glass panels from the sides of my traveller to replace
the runners ( sliders ) with new ones. Is it an easy enough job to tackle ? If I
unscrew the bottom wooden ''sill'' from inside the car, would this allow my glass to
lift out ? - or is there more to it than this ?
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

You need to unscrew the runners - in which the glass is sliding. Hopefully brass screws were used and there may be a chance to get them out....

When fitting the new ones, put the top runners in, then assemble the bottom runners to the glass and slide into place - you cannot fit the glass with the runners already in. Removal is usually much easier as the old runners just disintegrate. When fitting, make sure that the drain holes are kept clear, but use a good sealer aginst the inner wooden capping rail to prevent rainwater leaks.
