back from a break

Post by maccax »

hi guys i joined this forum a few years back when i owned thisImage
she was standard when i got her and i made a few changes i had her prepped for spraying and she broke down and would not start ,so like an idiot i sold her and regretted it ever since, then after owning a few golfs mk 2 & 3s i wanted to get another real classic so i brought this Image and turned it into this
Image which iv had now for about a year and a half he now finished and is my daily driver . and then i saw a minor on ebay ,so i made a silly offer for it and to my supprise they said yes ,she needs a bit of welding and a few bits and bobs and she will be on the road againImageImage

Maccax..................I think I owe you an apology.
I'm a wee bit of a purist when it comes to classic cars, especially Morris Minors, and I'm not a huge fan of pimped or rodded motors! No objections to modifying mechanics, brakes, suspension etc. for coping better with today's traffic, but I like things to look standard-ish! Comes from being an old git, I suppose!
However, when I saw your Herald, I'd had a wee nightcap, and I guess it loosened my tongue a wee bit and I pompously passed an opinion that I should not have!
My apologies, and I reckon that Samuria has a far more mature attitude than that of mine at the time!
Apologies, and I hope you get her on the road soon and thoroughly enjoy ownership.
All the best.
