Car : 1960 4 Door Saloon. N/S Front Wing ; fairly newish ( 12 years and not much mileage since fitting ) aside from some mild rusting to inside rear outer edge under a 'protective' layer of mastic stuff , the problem is the headlamp aperture re-inforcing ring. 2/3rd of this , and the folded over outer main wing have broken up. Is the ring available as a repair section ( in some ways I dont NEED it as the bowl fixings 2 out of 3 are strong enough to hold everything in place ) though I could get made up enough metal let in in a suitable way , but one would like to stay to original if possible.
Also on re-fitting is there any need for mastic or other sealant on upper surface between flitch panel/s and outer wing or along trailing edge to inner wing or is metal to metal suitable fixing through the bolt holes ?

£33.34 !
It shouldn't be hard to fabricate something to do the job.

That's certainly a bit more realistic....... Still think a repair piece could be made very easily at little cost.

Re: Front Wing Repair ?
ALS642 - I think that ESM part is the cromed bit behind the headlight ( in front of headlight behind the bezel trim I mean ).
MarkyB , thanks , Earlpart have always been expensive , but the price is for a pair. Its a bit more difficult to fabricate , and I have to get it done at a repairers rates and fitted into the wing. I am more miffed with myself for not spraying more rust proofer ( or older engine oil ) around that bit of the wing , but for various reasons the car was off road ( still is for the final bit needed to come off before the rest of the restoration begins.
