just seen this at 1/2 price in Tesco - is this a good buy for the A Series engines (£6 instead of £12)

If its 20w50 then yep it's a good buy. Is it only in store as I can't find it on Tesco Direct?

Also a good buy here. http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/car-maintena ... Id=9227684

All the Tesco related GTX I can find is thinner than 20/50,it's 10/40 or 15/xx which is too thin for a Minor.

That's a point, can't say I've ever seen a 5 litre can in the kiosk, usually just top up items.
