distributor with immobiliser

Post by horrace »

I have seen a company offering electronic ignition conversion kits with an immobiliser attached to it, not sure of the cost but seems like a good idea to me :D anyone got one or had any experience of them?

In what way will it 'immobilise' the car?

Not sure of the intricacies but unless you have the special keyfob with you it you disables the dizzy same as removing the main feed I assume?

That sounds nice, I remember a few years ago there was a battery that would do that as well, came with a wireless fob and the car wouldn't start without it. Haven't found any recent info so maybe they stopped making them.

If it were me I'd go the secret switch route also.

you are probably right secret switch would work but then is there not a wire trail (which you could bypass) from wherever you fit it?
