Car Stereo/Radio

Post by Cyril »

Hi
Can anyone recommend a good car stereo system for the Morris Traveller? Something that doesn't look too modern but with modern digital features.

I Know... I always seem a bit unlucky like that :)
Other option I suppose is to go modern, and hide it away in the glove-box maybe

Another question?
My car has its original aerial antenna, where will I find its connecting lead in the car?

I don't think they're is a standard approach to this one Cyril.
I got lucky as ours had a radio fitted already..
However I would go with through the rubber grommet between the shin level parcel shelf to the right of the steering wheel.
If you cant find it, have a look under the wing, someone may have chopped the cable from your original aerial, and then left it fitted to avoid leaving an unsightly hole in the wing

Is the aerial on the roof- if so it probably runs down one of the windscreen pillars- check under the dashboard at the edges for a thick black wire, if not then it is probably either visible somewhere or been cut :(, as for a wing mounted, as tiny has said, the lead could be anywhere, Aerials where never a standard fit, thus it was up to the owner to fit one.

Mine is wing mounted, and the wire goes through the inner wing, into the engine bay, and through the hole where the wiper motor cable enters the interior, but thats juts how my car is.

Hope that helps!

The antenna on the roof, so it probably goes down a basis for the windscreen, check under the dash on the edge of a thick black wire, if not then it's probably somewhere in sight, or cut the wing mounted in a small, lead can be any dish where a standard fit, so we had to adapt owner.

Hi
Sorry for late reply have been away.
I found the aerial. It goes down the passenger side front window column and appears under the glove compartment where I have decided to fit it.
