Does anyone know who bought the 1951 Tourer in rough condition that sold on ebay last Friday from Leicestershire? Seller told me that chassis number was SMM19xxxx which could not be right for an early 51.

I was going to check that one. The chassis number should be SMM 9xxxx.

Would it be SMM/9XXXX ?

The seller read the / as a 1?

There is no / in the SMM numbers, only the later FAA 11/ xxxxxx series
