803 gaskets
I was wondering if the 803 exhaust manifold gasket will fit on a later 1098 head and stock exhaust manifold?
Re: 803 gaskets
Yes - will fit on the studs ok, just check the ports are not obstructed by the gasket - in case early gaskets had smaller openings...

Re: 803 gaskets
Thank you for your reply, the first exhaust manifold gasket that I bought supposedly made for the 1098 the holes for the ports were much too large and was cut square on the out side edges ,the originals which are very hard to find are much nicer in terms of cut and fit ,the outer edges are shaped,I am thinking the port openings on the 803 gasket will fit the 1098manifold much better and expected to be smaller in size.
Re: 803 gaskets
The gaskets now are multi-use, possibly port holes have been enlarged slightly to suit 1275 heads. Should fit a 1098 head just fine. There are specialist 'competition' gaskets available with extra large port holes - maybe you have one of them??

Re: 803 gaskets
Thank you for your reply ,what I wanted to do is make a manifold gasket that looks like the original gasket and fits better ,but you can not trim the new gaskets to fit ,the port sizes are too big and there is not enough material left in the right places to do this .
Re: 803 gaskets
I don't see why it's a problem...standard gasket should fit fine! Is it a modified head??
