Went to try Snowdrop this afternoon and nothing doing - engine won't turn over, no wipers, no lights, nothing. Battery seems fine, connections from the battery have been cleaned...any ideas? In laymen's terms please
Cheers,
Paul.

What has been done recently?
Check the big brown wire that goes to the solenoid and make sure it's a nice tight fit, also the connections to the regulator.

What makes you say the 'battery is fine' ?? How do you know that? Most obvious fault is that something has been left on - and flattened the battery. Have you tried jump leads?? [ Snap Mike...]

not much point in suggesting anything until we know the answer to the above.
If the battery really is fine... have a good look at the connections on to the starter solenoid and the regulator control box.
I sorted out a car last weekend -initially with the same problems- and the Yellow/Brown wire on the voltage regulator had a poor connection inside the crimped terminal.
