Hi all,
I have been a busy one. My mechanic is gonna service my car - he has classics also so I am lucky.
I've bought my tyres
I've even bought the whole service pack essentials that would be needed if they were to be replaced
I've got the oil
I've even bought front and rear brake pads - just incase even though the guy I bought "Patty" from had them done some months ago, you can never be sure can you.
But my horn seems to not beep. It beeps once then gets lazy.... so, can you guys out there advise me what I need for a 1966 Moggy. I want to replace it's beeper. Her beeper appears to be a lazy one.
And, if there is owt else I should have service ready - just incase, list it for me. I wanna be prepared.
Thanks all, have a good day
Sarah

Re: The beep has gone!
I hope you bought brake SHOES - Minor doesn't have pads unless converted to disk brakes. Particularly unlikely at the back. So to the horn - you say it beeps 'once' - is that 'once ever in all your ownership of the car' - or - does it beep 'once' when you press the button - and not again 'for a while' . If so - I suggest you start by cleaning the fuse contacts to see if that helps.

Cheers for your reply bmcecosse - I did by the brakes yes and pads! I got the top of the range service pack from the moggy centre along with the full front and rear brake caboodle. As a novice - I wanted to make sure I had everything that could go wrong to save my mechanic a trip. It worked. Brakes were sound so got them ready for when they do need replacing. The beep has now returned. She had a full service - was all cleaned and having flew through the MOT she is a beauty. I've treated her to a new battery for the winter today along with having the underside done in schutz stone chip to protect her over winter - I use her daily so trying to protect her where I can from the salt and grit.
Sorry for the late reply but better late than never
