Hi All.
I am pleased to say that my restoration has got to the point of needing to consider tyres.
I have a 1967 2 door saloon with standard engine and running gear. I am planning to use the standard steel wheels.
Would people recommend 145/80/R14s, 155/80/R14s or a different profile for 155s?
Charles Ware have 145s at nearly £80 each but can you recommend an alternative.
Looking on the internet I only see Bridgestom LM18 available that appears to be a winter tyre.
I am sure last year there were more options from cheap vendors?
What would you recommend please?
Tyre recommendations please.

Re: Tyre recommendations please.
Tyre choice is diminishing rapidly now
ESM offer
A 145 80 14 Camac or A 155 80 14 Nankang
Bull Motif offer
a 155 80 14 Toyo or a 145 80 14 Bridgestone
and those are pretty much your options from the main suppliers... (they are available from other suppliers too!)
It also worth looking at Camskill http://www.camskill.co.uk
Who still sell 135 tyres (at a price!) & the nankangs much cheaper than ESM ;)

Re: Tyre recommendations please.
My traveller is used daily and I have found the Toyo's to be excellent in all weather conditions

Re: Tyre recommendations please.
The Bridgestone 'winter' tyres will be fine. I found 4 for £188 delivered on ebay just the other day. There is a thread nearby on this subject - but believe me - the car will be MUCH nicer on 145 tyres.
