panel depth?

Post by les »

Can anyone tell me the depth of the panel indicated please, I need it for speaker sizes. It would save me stripping trim until I'm ready to do the job.

Put a straight- edge across the kidney panel and use a rule to measure the depth

I'm not daft, I know that but if you read my post correctly you'll see that I am not wanting to strip the interior yet until I've made another piece of trim with a speaker in it!

I think he is presuming that is a picture of your project, so his answer made sense. I would now guess your car has the interior in place...

Hi Les.
Just been out and measured Mr Mankys recess as he has no trim!
The depth at about the middle of the panel recess is 2" or 5cm in new money!
Remember your shelf board could interfere with the speaker though!
Good luck
Dave
ps;I understood your clear explanation, maybe some just read to quick!

Thanks for the measurement Dave, yes I may have to recess the edge of the shelf to accommodate the speaker front.
Yes Mid, the first reply probably judged from the picture, however I tried to avoid that happening via a brief explanation, as my trim now covers the area. Maybe I was a bit harsh!
