Another Morris Minor traveller lives to fight another day.

It sat unloved in a garage for over twenty years before we purchased it,now it is fine shape,the photo`s show the quality of the restoration.
I think another year in storage and the owners might not have found a caring home for it,and it may have been lost forever.

Just for the record....
Approx 420 hours work went into this car.
Approx £2100.00 in parts.
4 litres of Lesonal 2 pack paint.


The paint finish is to the very best concourse standard.I think you would be hard pressed to find a better finish anywhere .
All new chromework.
Nearly all new everything in actual fact.!!!

A car ready to take and enjoy on the show circuit.

After all those years of being off the road and stored in a garage she was ready for her first trip on the road and a visit to the Mot station.
As she pulled off the driveway for the first time onto the open road she performed as she should have.

As soon as you drive perhaps 1 mile or less you know if a car is right or not,this one was spot on.

She passed her Mot test with no advisories.

Since then I have been out and about in her making sure everything is OK.

Some friends of ours came round last week,liked her, and after some negotiation purchased her.

Yesterday 4th Sept I took her over to the new owners,they proudly parked her on their front drive at an angle and before long some near nieghbours were round giving the car some admiring glances and remembering the Morris`s in their own family years ago.

So she will be living in the same town,attending local shows no doubt,and I will be looking after her well being for a few years(servicing).

The last photo`s show her as before and after,sometimes when the cars are finished I forget how bad they really were.


I enjoy restoring cars that have sat in garages for 20/30 years,putting them back on the road,but when finished I get itchy feet and it is time to start on another one.

Now I can press on with my other Traveller,the Almond Green one mentioned in another blog.This had been off the road for a total of 35 years,but dry stored.
I had her running and Mot`d earlier this summer but now I am giving her a smart make over.
