Heading towards B'ham airport ..FLAP FAILS
On my way home passing B'ham airport in monsoon rain ,when front windscreen started to mist up ,went to put the heater flap on screen .nothing will not budge from off ,any hints very welcome

i had that on one moggy .
it turned out the (hinges) had rusted quite badly
out with heater off with cover cleaned and greased
sorted

Airport and flap - I assumed you were coming in to land !
I guess you know it has to be moved slightly sideways out of the parking slot before you can move the lever......but as above - it will just be stuck with rust/gunge.

inserted finger in to flap picked this out ,I think it's genuine 1970 new old stock .2 inches long
feels like charcoal ,very light ,some type of grommet?[frame]

It's a bit of very old foam used to pack the rear of the heater - a museum piece!
