Traveller rear lights
Not sure if this is bodywork or electrics and please forgive a basic question. I'd like to sand down the rear pillars on my traveller and want to remove the light fittings, but I can't see how to get at them. They look like they might just pull forwards away from the car by levering the rubber surround but I'm concerned I should be disconnecting or unscrewing something inside. Any advice appreciated.

Hi Matt and welcome.
Have you removed the chrome ring and the lens from the light? Once you do there are only 3 screws holding the light onto the wood and then you can simply pull the rubber forward to varnish behind.

Too many Minors so little time.....

No I haven't - how do the chrome ring and lens come off?
Re: Traveller rear lights
Small screwdriver to just price the rubber lip away from the chrome ring. Once the chrome ring is removed, the rubber is flexible enough to remove the glass. You will need to practice this for when you have to change a bulb. When refitting, you have to press the chrome ring in hard whilst easing the rubber lip over it with the screwdriver. A small amount of lubrication can assist.

Fantastic thanks
Re: Traveller rear lights
While you have the 'bee hive' glass fittings off - find some shiny 'chrome' finish packaging material - and cut collars of the material to fit under the bulb. Also squirt WD40 into the bulb holder. When you re-assemble,the lights will be MUCH brighter... Works well on the front lights too.......
