Carburettor ID required

Post by gtt1951 »

My '51 MM has the following Carb (looks similar to the one on my spare 803cc engine, but not quite[frame]Image[/frame]
Other side looks like this[frame]Image[/frame]
It is an SU carb and the ID No.s are 2298 on the Float Chamber and 3457 on the body.
Is this a H1 type? I need to get a gasket set as it leaks!
General view under the bonnet[frame]Image[/frame]

Thanks Mike, I had already found that site, but needed confirmation of what I had - their blown-up diagram of the H1 shows a cover that has its fixing lugs offset from the centre line, so I was a bit unsure.
