Fitting servo

Post by macktel01 »

Hi All
I have finally decide to fit a servo to Marty. As mentioned on various threads I have blanked off the rear outlet on the master cylinder using a bsf bleed nipple.
Unfortunately this leaks through the nipple itself ( not via the threads).
Any advice for alternative blank welcomed please.
Thanks in advance Dave

It's not sealing down on the taper correctly - remove and clean both surfaces and try again.

Agreed. The whole point of a bleed nipple is that it allows air/fluid out when opened, but seals perfectly when closed. You do need to secure the banjo with the same fitting as used on the rear brakes, and the nipple screws into that, you can't just put it straight into the cylinder - besides, you need the banjo to take the single pipe out through the side of the chassis leg.
