Hi there,
I've been given a voltage regulator off a gold faced minor speedo ,not sure of the year it belonged to but I was wondering if it would be compatible for my 1969 model also would the actual fuel gauge be compatible as well?
voltage regulator difference?

Re: voltage regulator difference?
Voltage Reg yes - but it will have 'screw terminals' and your car will have 'spade terminals'. The fuel gauge - no.

Ah one out of two[and the main one really] cant be bad then thanks bmc

Re: voltage regulator difference?
But to use it you would need to cut the spades off your wiring harness - not a great idea really......

Re: voltage regulator difference?
Just checked earlier and the regulator has got the spade connectors fixed to it but screw connections to the fuel gauge so I'm assuming that the regulator was a later addition at some point in the cars life that it belonged to?
Re: voltage regulator difference?
Must have been - but good spare for you then! Flog the gauge........
