Colours Cream and Pale Ivory

Post by estepona1999 »

How can I see a colour chart which shows a good example to see the difference in the colours of Cream (YL5) and Pale Ivory (YL1)? Is there any way I can get hold of a chart showing both these colours ? The one way I have thought of is to buy an aerosol of each and spray a sample of each onto a piece of metal and then make a choice>Any other ideas please? I have looked at a colour chart at my paint factors but neither of these colours are available to see.

I can only suggest that you keep an eye on e-bay for colour charts to see whether you can find one with the colours on that you need.

There's a photo of a pale ivory car in this thread if that helps: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f= ... pale+ivory

Cream & pale ivory are original factory colours ('56 - '59).

Surely they will be on the colour charts then?? Can't say I have seen them.....although there are two shades of OEW. AAh - I see the colour chart has disappeared - perhaps the thread could be modified to make that clear. ie NO colour chart.....

The previous colour chart was only a partial one anyway and didn't show all Minor colours, but I'll add a link to the charts from the MG site as they might be useful.

Thanks for all the comments. Before I chose these two choices I did check that Minor's were produced in these colours and they were.I am also going to include Old English White,so now I have to choose one of three.!
