Re: MORRIS MINOR MAGAZINE: SUSPENSION OF PUBLICATION
It's standard policy when a firm ceases trading (in this case a publication) for the liqudator to request all creditors to put their claim in writing. He can then work out how much is owed and to whom.

Re: MORRIS MINOR MAGAZINE: SUSPENSION OF PUBLICATION
It's only been 5 working days since the end of May. I would not expect anything to happen for at least 2 months.

If you paid with a Credit Card - you may be able to claim the money back from them.

Re: MORRIS MINOR MAGAZINE: SUSPENSION OF PUBLICATION
Is 'Practical Elastic-Band Twanging' one of their titles?
I also subscribe to 'Impractical Elastic-Band Twanging' too!
What they're offering is essentially a Credit Note!
This is NOT an option, possibly against T&C's as the boob
was their end!!

Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

Re: MORRIS MINOR MAGAZINE: SUSPENSION OF PUBLICATION
I have been offered half the value of my subscriptions or delivery of 5 issues of an alternative magazine.
As my son is a drummer I opted for delivery of 5 issues of a drum magazine.
I suppose as they dont have by law to do anything, the gesture has to be appreciated.

Re: MORRIS MINOR MAGAZINE: SUSPENSION OF PUBLICATION
I to have had a letter offering me 50% of my paid up subs in refund, Ive just phoned them to ask why only 50%. I spoke to a very pleasant lady called Hannah who has told me to email subs@blazepublishing.co.uk and request a full refund. There is no guarantee that it will come but worth trying.

Re: MORRIS MINOR MAGAZINE: SUSPENSION OF PUBLICATION
Sounds a bit of a try on does this. I mean the firm, Blaze Publishing, hasn't ceased trading, they have merely ceased production of one of their products. If they are unable to supply a product as advertised then a full refund should be offered. Anythign else is an attempt to wriggle out of it in my view.ASL642 wrote:It's standard policy when a firm ceases trading (in this case a publication) for the liqudator to request all creditors to put their claim in writing. Re: MORRIS MINOR MAGAZINE: SUSPENSION OF PUBLICATION
I have been informed that I am owed 13 issues of Morris Minor Magazine or a 50% refund. Strangely non of the other titles appeal to me so I will be demanding a 100% refund.

Re: MORRIS MINOR MAGAZINE: SUSPENSION OF PUBLICATION
I would imagine if you insist on the full amount you will get it. They are still in business and trading so will not wish a lot of small claims court actions and probably just pay. The 50% offer is just bad form and an attempt to fob people off with less. Another magazine is fine if there is one that appeals - no other motoring titles as far as I can see.
Its just typical modern business practice to try and fiddle the customer and hope they get away with it. Imagine if it was a Morris Minor parts specialist for eg: You order and pay for a sill for say £30. They then contact you and say that they don't do sills anymore, but you could have a boot floor instead, or if not have a refund of £15.... I don't think so!
