hello, I am going to be swapping my 948cc box to 1098cc. I have got a 1098 clutch and release bearing. I also have the 1098 back plate all I am missing is the flywheel. could anybody tell me the difference between the 948 flywheel and the 1098 flywheel. This would be very helpful
many thanks

Re: flywheel for gearbox
is it the difference in the wholes that have been drilled?
Re: flywheel for gearbox
Yes the 948cc is drilled to fit a 6 1/4" clutch/pressure plate whereas the 1098cc is drilled to fit a 7 1/4' clutch/pressure plate

I don't suppose it is impossible to drill and tap new holes (and dowels) - but if doing that a light surface grind would probably be a good idea. Easier to just get hold of a 1098 flywheel.
