A query on colour impact of primers with top coats.
I have given my moggie several coats of primer (etch then beige high build and grey primer) and am almost ready for the top coats. Given the original red oxide, Is there any need/advantage in a final coat of Red primer before the top coats in Almond Green or will it not make any difference?
Thanks

Re: Primer colour
Hi
In my experience the primer colour will affect the final finished colour, it will matter less if many top coats are applied. Some colours will notice more than others.
Taupe

Re: Primer colour
With Almond Green you will be fine with the grey. Red primer etc would be used with dark colours - ie red/brown/dark blue/black - that sort of thing.

Hi,
I agree with 'BMC', I would have thought grey would have been a more suitable primer colour for Almond Green.
Good luck with your respray either way.
Mike.
