Tourer Rear Window Size

Post by hoppydoffton »

Hello
Can anyone help me with the correct size for the rear window of a 1951 tourer hood.
I have ordered a hood but the maker needs to know the size of the window opening?

Regards Tony

If you are going to the rally this weekend there should be a Minor with the correct size window

Unfortunately I won't be going but if someone would be kind enough to measure one for me that would be great!

The visible plastic window is 780 x 195mm. The ends are rounded and this is the max width.
Height is 195mm. There are two rows of sewing which add a further 20mm all round.
This is from my hood which is very tatty and soft and floppy off-white canvas, I would guess it is perhaps the original.
I can perhaps organise a photo if that would also help, pls advise your e-mail address.
Is your man making the hood to order because I may well be in the market fairly soon? What material are you using?
All the best
Colin
