Received some info this morning that in 1994 there were 16,000 Morris Minors on the road. That figure is
now almost half with 8,500.
The figures for the Morris Minor Traveller read 1,200 in 1994 and just 803 on the road today.

Where did you get your info from? There have been quite a few threads discussing this, particularly as sites such as 'howmanyleft' only show around 8,000 Minors left on the road.
In 2010 a club member obtained details from the DVLA which showed that there were 27,000 Minors either taxed or on SORN on their database. See here for more details: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f= ... t&start=30
