Need help the track end rod will not pop out of the steering arm any tips

I got over that by supporting the car underneath the box section to remove the wheel, & then loosen off the track rod locking nuts on the steering rack before attempting to remove track rod tapers from their locations. To remove tapers, loosen the bottom nut & washer a couple of threads, position a jack beneath the bottom of the thread below the taper & jack up the complete assembly so that it is just clear of the rebound pad. Carefully give the top face of the link to the stub axle assembly a couple of good clouts with a hammer and with luck and a following wind the taper should release.

You may need one of these
I have one of these and it makes the job so much easier. You may only use this splitter once in a while but it will save you a lot of grief.

Splitter does the job nicely - hammering may break something!
