Van Cab

Post by John.n »

I was wondering where are the mounting points for the cab of a van to the chassis?
Does the engine bolt directly to the chassis or to the cab structure?
Regards,

Hi, the cab is bolted down to the chassis in various places. In order to remove, the engine towers need to be removed, bulkhead fire wall squares there is mounting bolts, ie on passenger side where exhaust exists engine bay. gearbox tunnel screws, handbrake, seat belt bolts, ie ones on tunnel near handbrake. And finally ones across rear healboard lower panel. Undo these and away you go. They are heavier then they look so get some help to lift and also hope the top section of the chassis isn't to bad under the cab as they do rust with condensation and moisture trap etc...
