Updating seating...
Hey all I'm looking to put modern seating in to my 100 2 door. Are there any good recommendations for both front and rear replacements as it seems most suggested aren't suitable for the rear seat. Thanks!!

Re: Updating seating...
If you have plenty of money then you can buy a set of Newton Commercial seats with matching upholstery. Whatever you buy you will need a pair of front seat adapter frames which may be the most expensive parts.

Re: Updating seating...
Austin Metro seats were a popular upgrade and I seem to remember reading that they are a direct fit.

Cool thanks guys!, Not that rich to get the newton ones, maybe at a later date more concerned for a head rest than anything, as well as a good fit

Re: Updating seating...
If you can find one Rover 100 seats fit as do the Metro, and Saab 9000. All will need to have a subframe made which will fit the Minors floorpan. Ford Ka seats have also been used (see link below) which may be easier to get these days

Re: Updating seating...
Loads of posters on this site have bought a car and then taught themselves to weld. Advice on welders (purchase of) right through to how to do it completely free here!
There may be someone on this forum who lives near to you to show you the basic ropes.

Re: Updating seating...
So long as the seats are small enough to work seats belts etc and allow room for the handbrake to operate, and not too high for the subframe underneath (so you can get your legs under the steering wheel.

Re: Updating seating...
the mgf seats from a mk1 look like they should fit but with out the ability to tilt forward might not suit 2 doors / travellers[frame]
